Rose Charities Phnom Penh 2010: Agenda

Rose Charities Phnom Penh 2010: Accommodation

For Cambodian travel arrangments / hotel bookings:    Mr Hem Nara  hem_nara2007@yahoo.com      Mr Nara has worked with Rose Charities for many years dealing with bookings for both previous conferences (Penang and Ho Chi Minh City).  We very much recommend him for all travel arrangements including Siem Reap / Angkor Wat travel.

Officially recommended hotels for delegates. (its more enjoyable when everyone stays in the same place(s) - though Phnom Penh has many other hotels too of course)

1) Imperial Garden Hotel   www.imperialgarden-hotel.com   Approx USD 60 per night. Nice pool and gym. The hotel where the conference rooms are.  Book through Mr Nara for best rate (ie not over internet)

2) Frangipani Hotel (there is a Frangipanni Hotel '60' and a Frangipanni Hotel '90' - we recommend the '60').  www.frangipanihotel.com  Mention the Rose Charities 2010 Meeting for a discount.  About USD 36 per night

3) Goldie Boutique Guesthouse    www.goldieguesthouse.com    Around $28 per night.  Well recommended

.. If all else full...

4) Blue Lime Hotel    www.bluelime.asia/rooms.html    About USD 40 per night .. but worth it..

'A picture saves 1000 lives'. Milk Gallery. NY. a FOTORELIEF Event to support Haiti

President of ROSE Charities Noot Seear and one hundred of the most influential art and fashion photographers including Annie Leibovitz, Patrick Demarchelier, Ellen Von Unwerth, Mark Seliger, Mario Sorrenti, Alessanda Sanguinetti, Ben Watts, Steven Klein, Bruce Weber, Mario Testino, Sante D’Orazio, Hiroshi Watanabe, Brian Ulrich, Paolo Roversi, Vincent Peters, Diego Uchitel, Alexei Hay, Greg Kadel, Walter Chin, Craig McDean, David Sims, David Armstrong, Richard Kern, Javier Vallhonrat, Margaret De Lang, Kurt Markus and Tierney Gearon…

WHAT: FOTORELIEF and A Milk Gallery Project organizes “A Picture Saves A Thousand Lives” silent photo auction event to contribute to the Haitian earthquake relief effort through ROSE Charities. Over 100 of the world's most respected fashion and fine art photographers are each donating a photograph to be exhibited and auctioned off that evening, with the opening bids ranging from $300 to $10,000. Invited guests – art patrons, collectors, celebrities, and the fashion & fine art photography world elite – will have the opportunity to take home an important work of art, while making an invaluable contribution to the relief effort. All of the proceeds from the auction will go to ROSE Charities, to provide long-term care and rehabilitation for the survivors of the Haitian earthquake. In addition, a numbered, limited-edition book of all of the photographs from the auction, will be available at the event with all proceeds going to the cause.

ABOUT FOTORELIEF & ROSE CHARITIES:

FOTORELIEF, an all-volunteer organization and a veteran of fundraising auctions, has partnered with ROSE Charities to address some of the longer-term problems in Haiti. Noot Seear, international top model, actress and President of ROSE Charities US commented, “After the attention wanes and the media has decamped, there will still be years of rehabilitation and reconstruction needed for the Haitian people. The doctors, therapists and volunteers that generously donate their time and purpose, through ROSE Charities, have a history of that dedication.” John Gettings, Director of FOTORELIEF, added “We are extremely pleased to partner with ROSE Charities for this effort and want to thank Milk Gallery, all of the photographers, galleries and agents for their generous support.”
